Adding Slack
Connect your Slack workspace to receive notifications and query Superpositional from Slack.
Superpositional integrates with Slack. Once connected, you receive system notifications in a Slack channel and can query Superpositional by mentioning the bot in any channel or DM.
Connecting Slack
- Go to the Integrations page.
- Select Slack from the integration list.
- Click Connect Slack Workspace. This starts the standard Slack OAuth flow.
- Slack asks you to pick a workspace and authorise the Superpositional app. You need permission to install apps in the workspace — if you don't have it, ask a workspace admin.
- After authorisation, you're redirected back to Superpositional. The Integrations page shows the connection status, including the workspace name and default notification channel.
What the integration provides
Once connected, the Slack integration does two things:
- System notifications. Superpositional posts notifications to your workspace's default channel. These cover events like completed PR reviews, indexing results, and stale document alerts.
- Direct queries. You can mention the Superpositional bot in any Slack channel or DM to ask questions about your codebase. This works the same way as the Chat page — you ask in plain English and get an answer grounded in your indexed repositories.
Disconnecting Slack
To remove the Slack integration:
- Go to the Integrations page.
- Select Slack.
- Click Disconnect Slack.
Superpositional stops posting to Slack immediately. You can reconnect at any time by going through the setup flow again.
